The workshop on game environment design is now over. It was hosted by Konrad Czernik – Techland’s Lead Concept Artist. The workshop was divided into two parts. The first part was dedicated to the technical aspects of designing game spaces. This part began with an extensive lecture after which students could proceed to the practical part.
During the second part of the workshop, the students were focused on creating exciting game environments. This part was also preceded by a lecture. During the workshop, the students worked on the following stages of the game environment design process (in this order): main map, list of archetypical themes, locations and gameplay illustrations.
